Our focus is to provide life changing riding programs using therapeutic intervention to develop and strengthen the physical, cognitive and psychosocial lives of children and adults with disability.
About Us
Riding for the Disabled Oakford is a voluntary, not for profit, registered charity organisation located in Oakford, Western Australia. Our centre was established in 2001 by a group of volunteers with the vision to support children and adults with disabilities to experience the joy of being outdoors and sitting tall on a horse. RDA Oakford has grown into an important community resource with the support of hard-working horses and our generous volunteers.
What We Do
Through the kind work of our volunteers and hard-working horses we’re able to provide life changing riding programs to children and adults with disability. With research to support the significance of meaningful gains in motor function, gait, posture, cognition and quality of life, we are committed to supporting individuals to achieve better outcomes
